Emergency Operations Center
The United for Families Administrative Office serves as the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) during a disaster or pandemic. Official notices regarding a disaster/emergency/pandemic situation will emanate from the Emergency Operations Center. Notification to close and re-open the service centers will come from the Emergency Operations Center.

When an emergency or natural disaster is threatening the area, the UFF Emergency Messaging System will be initiated. The Emergency Messaging System combines a toll-free hotline and voiceblast messaging to disseminate information about disasters/emergencies. The hotline provides updates on service center openings and closures, when to report for duty , and where emergency supplies may be obtained for foster parents, caregivers and clients. The hotline will be continuously updated before and after the disaster with important updates.
